Reminder: Diabetes Training Needs Survey

Diabetes is one of the priority areas which forms part of the STP programme. We recognise that the skills and confidence in managing diabetes in primary care varies from practice to practice. One of our key aims is to support primary care to manage diabetes in a more consistent and person centred way. However in order to develop a training programme for primary care we need to understand the needs of primary care.

We would appreciate help from our GP and PN colleagues to complete the short knowledge and confidence survey. The findings from this will be used to inform the Primary Care Education programme which is being developed. Please be assured this will only take a few moments of your time to complete. The completed forms can be returned to the EDEN diabetes team by email or post. Thank you to those of you who have already completed the survey.

If the form is electronic, please send it to: EDEN@uhl-tr.nhs.uk

If the form is hard copy, please post it to:

CQC’s Next Phase of Regulation

On 12 June 2017 the CQC launched the second consultation on proposed changes to how it regulates health and social care services. The survey can be accessed on the CQC's website. The consultation closes on Tuesday 8 August 2017.

GP Online: Are you at 10%?

All GP practices were asked to sign-up 10% of their patient list to GP online services by the end of the last financial year.  Only a handful of CCGs achieved this, so there’s still some way to go.  See how our CCG has performed on the table under 'Related Downloads'.  More support is available for practices that wish to get more patients signed-up from Implementation Leads for the programme.  Their details are on the bottom of the table.  If you’re unclear how patient online can benefit your practice, watch the short film from Street Lane Practice in Leeds.
