Latest innovations

Please see below the latest developments from the world of healthcare Research and Innovation

  • Patient experience of primary care - Every year since 2007 the NHS in England have asked patients what they think about their GP practice via a large national survey. The survey findings are intended to inform patients, healthcare professionals and planners about patients’ experience of the care provided by individual practices in England.
  • Education a key factor in the management of diabetes News from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) - Insulin pumps are no more effective than injections at helping people with type 1 diabetes control their blood sugar levels, if they are yet to receive full training to self-manage their condition. Ensuring that people have sufficient training could be highly beneficial, reports new research.
  • Stroke: Roads to Recovery - The National Institute for Health Research Dissemination Centre has published its latest themed review on the organisation and quality of stroke services - Road to Recovery.
