Your Choice in the NHS

If your GP needs to refer you for a physical or mental health condition, the NHS Constitution says you can choose which hospital or service you go to.
If your GP refers you - YOU CAN CHOOSE

Ask your GP, call the Choice E-referral manager on 01223 725571/01223 725572 or visit www.nhs.uk/patientchoice

A small number of exclusions apply, for more information search for ‘The NHS Choice Framework’ online at www.gov.uk

You can view what choices are currently available to NHS patients in the NHS Choice Framework on GOV.UK. Here you'll also find information about when you can't choose, for example, if you need emergency care or if you are a member of the armed forces. Make sure you know which options apply to you.
